• Premier Ford's Healthcare Privatization Plan Must Be Stopped
Healtcare is much too important to be left to private operators who depend on profit. We must raise our collective voice to oppose such plans. Petitioning the CEO of our hospitals to lead the charge against privatization, is perhaps the best strategy. For the Niagara Region, the President and CEO of the NHS -- Niagara Health System -- is Lynn Guerriero. Let's tell Ms. Guerriero to carry our message to the Premier!

  • Make solar panels mandatory
We all know the effects of climate change, and we also know that something has to be done about it before it is too late. Not just for our own wellbeing, but for the security of our children and grandchildren. We all know that increasingly violent and deadly storms, floods, fires and droughts are becoming daily items on the news. We must take action. Something as simple as amending the city's building code is one step towards greening the environment, and doesn't even require a lot of individual sacrifice.

Our health care needs funding, it's that simple. More doctors, nurses, assistants, office, cleaning and maintenance staff. Our government under Doug Ford is continuing to let us down. It took months for my wife to see a specialist and she is dead now.
