Now, Canada needs to foster a vibrant Clean Energy sector and have programs and training available for all former oil and gas workers.

Renewable energy is safer, guaranteed to work, and will save Canadians money. Transitioning to renewable energy and subsidizing energy efficiency, while ensuring no one is left behind, will create the best possible outcome for Canadians (and beyond).

Those who currently rely on work in the fossil fuel sector to feed their families need transitional funding as they train and prepare for new employment. As part of the plan, we must do everything possible to make sure that those who lose jobs receive equivalent jobs in the Green Energy Sector.
