Yes to Mobile Beer Trucks in Toronto Parks!

We’re calling on the Parks and Environment Committee to study and approve a proposal to allow mobile craft beer trucks in Toronto parks.

Why is this important?

Torontonians know all too well the challenge of nabbing a coveted spot on a patio in the summer. The chair of Toronto’s Parks and Environment Committee has suggested Toronto look at introducing a mobile beer truck that would visit Toronto parks throughout the summer. This program would enable more Torontonians to legally enjoy local beers in the great outdoors, promoting our burgeoning craft beer industry and our green spaces in the process.

Allowing adults to responsibly enjoy beers in the park would have a number of potential benefits. It would:
Encourage more people to spend time in Toronto’s parks and public spaces;
Help promote local Toronto breweries;
Raise money that could go back into maintenance and improvement of parks; and
Regulate an activity that’s already happening.

Councillors are likely to get pushback on this idea, and they’ll need some convincing. So let’s show them that Toronto is ready for beer in parks - sign the petition calling on them to study and approve this project.
