Save our Old Growth Trees in Qualicum Beach
Require a License to Cut down a tree on your own property or on Municipal Property. Higher an arborist as needed to assess the health of the tree, and the environmental impact the removal of the tree will have on erosion, providing shade, the protection it provides for other trees, and the homes that will be lost for birds, squirrels, and hundreds of insects which are a valuable asset to the food chain.
Why is this important?
Beautiful old trees that are homes to Eagles, and other large birds are being taken out for no apparent reason, and clearcutting is being practiced everywhere in Qualicum Beach, Parksville, and Lantzville for subdivisions.
