Remove Trump's Name from the Vancouver Tower
Donald Trump — the leading Republican presidential candidate and real estate mogul whose name is splashed across major properties around the world — has for months been stoking anti-migrant and anti-Muslim sentiment for political gain.
On Monday, December 7th, he publicly called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States."
As residents of Canada, we firmly reject this racist and dangerous rhetoric, and stand in solidarity with Muslims and others affected by prejudice and racism in America and around the world.
Why is this important?
Former Vancouver cityplanner Brent Toderian has called on developers of the nearly completed Trump International Hotel & Tower in Vancouver — set to be one of the city’s tallest and most expensive — to immediately remove Trump’s name from the building and things associated with it. [1] We endorse this demand.
