Justin: Take a bold stance at the Paris Climate Summit in December 2015. Commit Canada to fully decarbonizing its economy by 2050.
Why is this important?
Limiting global warming to 2°C will require deep cuts in global emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050. As a wealthy, industrialized nation, Canada has a special responsibility to lead in this area.
But the window for action is closing, and the Paris Climate Change Summit this December ("COP21") may be the last chance for an international agreement in time to avert the crisis. Canada must lead the way.
