The Shift

The Shift is a non-profit organization working at the intersection of housing, finance, climate, and human rights. Led by former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Housing Leilani Farha, The Shift uses the human rights imperative to engage and hold governments and industry accountable. They use a variety of strategies to create new conversations and convenings that challenge the financialization of housing and advocates for systemic change to ensure adequate, affordable, sustainable housing worldwide.
