That's why, this October, people across the country will distribute thousands of posters and flyers to spread the word about Leadnow's national campaign for affordable housing. Vancouver will be holding TWO events. Each event will have 2 shifts. You can choose which event and shift you would like to attend.
#1 - Saturday, 26 October 2024: TROUT LAKE FARMERS MARKET
- Trout Lake Market is located at Trout Lake John Hendry Park, Vancouver. We will meet at the Lakewood Drive entrance to the market.
- The event will start at 8.45am and end at 2.00pm.
- 1st shift: 8:45am - 11.30am
- 2nd shift: 11.15am - 2.00pm
- If coming by bus, routes 007, 020, and 009 all stop within a 15 minute walk of the market. The Commercial-Broadway and Renfrew skytrain stations are within a 20 minute walk.
- Parking:
- There is no designated parking at the Trout Lake Farmers Market or surrounding areas. If at all possible, please walk, cycle or take transit.
- There are four designated accessible parking spaces at the east end of the market along Templeton Drive.

- The event is wheelchair accessible.
- Washrooms:
- There are portapotties available for the market, and washrooms around the park, including in the Trout Lake Community Center.
- Wheelchair accessible and gender inclusive washrooms: availability TBD. We will update when we have information confirmed.
- Service animals are welcome and may be present at the event.

#2 - Sunday, 27 October 2024: KITSILANO FARMERS MARKET
- Kitsilano Farmers Market is located in Connaught Park, 2690 Larch St, Vancouver. We will meet at the 10th Avenue entrance to the market. The market is in the parking lot for the Kitsilano Community Centre, adjacent to Connaught Park.
- The event will start at 9.45am and end at 2pm.
- 1st shift: 9:45am - 12pm
- 2nd shift: 11.45am - 2:00pm
- Transit: The nearest transit stop is at Broadway and Larch. Walk one block to the south where you’ll see the community centre and market.
- Parking is limited and restricted to residents on nearby streets. If you must drive, please do not park in the community centre lot on Larch St to allow sufficient parking space for the centre patrons. The website suggests market shoppers park on W 12th Ave or on W Broadway.
- There is bike parking at the 10th Avenue entrance.
- The event is wheelchair accessible.
- The nearest washrooms are in the Kitsilano Community Centre.
- There are wheelchair accessible washrooms available in the community center.
- Service animals are welcome and may be present at the event.
