Poster the Nation for Housing - Bloor West

We need to take back housing from wealthy and powerful real estate investors and landlords – and make housing for everyone. That's why, this October, people across the country will distribute thousands of posters and flyers to spread the word about Leadnow's national campaign for affordable housing. Join us!

We will meet at 2340 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M6P 4A9 (at the base of the stairs of The Crossways building, directly across from Dundas West Station). The event will start at 2pm and end at 4pm. We’ll be postering along Bloor Street West From Dundas West Station to Jane Station (especially around subway stations). If time and capacity allows, we’ll also poster the area bordered by Bloor West Ave, Quebec Ave, Humberside Dr., and Pacific Ave.

The nearest transit stop at the meeting point is Dundas West Station (wheelchair accessible). Also nearby is Bloor GO station / UP station. The nearest parking is located in the underground behind (north-side) of The Crossways building where parking is $3.50 per 30min; the FreshCo parking lot (just north of Dundas St. W & Bloor St. W) where parking is “free for customers,” and 19 Dorval Rd. parking where parking is $8 flat for daytime parking. There is bike parking along the Dundas St. W side of The Crossways building for both personal bicycles and also Bike Share Toronto bicycles.

For those who want to traverse the entire postering route, please know that the farthest end point is Jane Station, which is wheelchair accessible and has a Bike Share Toronto parking site.

The nearest public washrooms are partway along the intended postering route near the main entrance to High Park (250 West Rd, Toronto…basically High Park Ave and Bloor St. W) where there are wheelchair accessible washrooms available. Also, wheelchair accessible and gender inclusive washrooms are available upon request just north of Bloor St. W and Quebec Ave upon request of the organizer.

Service animals are welcome and may be present at the event.

This event will be fragrance-free, so please refrain from wearing or using scented products.
