Homes for All - Street/Table Canvassing - Draw the Line
September 20th is the day to "Draw the LIne" for the housing needs of Canada.
Everyone knows someone or sees people encountering a pervasive lack of housing or the struggles faced by many to pay their rent or to enter the housing market. The housing crisis is hitting people in Canada hard.
The Canadian government is in the the process of launching "Build Canada Homes (BCH)", a new Crown Corporation that would “act as a developer" to build affordable housing at scale with billions of dollars targetted.

The Canadian government is in the the process of launching "Build Canada Homes (BCH)", a new Crown Corporation that would “act as a developer" to build affordable housing at scale with billions of dollars targetted.
If we want to tackle the housing crisis, we need to start by demanding BCH’s mandate expand to ensure affordability is the #1 priority — and that people, not corporate developers, are the first to benefit.
On September 20th, Leadnow volunteers will be marching as a group, as part of "Draw the LIne", with placards to raise public awareness of the importance of this housing juncture. This will follow with petition canvassing operating from a to be determined location near the Ottawa downtown core. Stay tuned for specifics.
