Homes for All-Canvassing at the Ontario Federation of Labour's Conference in Toronto

The housing crisis is hitting people in Canada hard. On the campaign trail, Carney promised to tackle housing unaffordability by creating an entity called Build Canada Homes (BCH) — a new Crown Corporation that would “act as a developer to build affordable housing at scale.”

If we want to tackle the housing crisis, we need to start by demanding BCH’s mandate expand to ensure affordability is the #1 priority — and that people, not corporate developers, are the first to benefit.

On Tues. November 18th, we will be canvassing for petition signatures at the annual Ontario Federation of Labour's conference at the Sheraton Hotel. We are getting so close to our goal of 10,000 signatures, and this is an excellent opportunity for one last push.

We will meet at the main entrance of the Sheraton Hotel on Queen Street West. The event will start at 3:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm.

We will provide petitions, pens, clipboards, and flyers. We suggest you bring along a drink/snack, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

The nearest transit stop is Osgoode subway station. The closest paid parking is at the Sheraton Hotel itself. There is bike parking along both Queen St. and University Ave.

The event is wheelchair accessible, as is Osgoode Station.
The nearest washrooms, including accessible washrooms, are inside the Sheraton Hotel.

Service animals are welcome and may attend the event.
This event will be fragrance-free, so please refrain from wearing or using scented products.

Masks and sanitizer will be available.
