Fossil Fools Day Funeral

On Saturday April 6, 2024, join us for a solemn yet powerful demonstration as we gather to mourn the devastating impact of RBC's despicable funding of the CGL Pipeline, an ecological catastrophe that violently violates Wet'suwet'en sovereignty, ignores treaties, and spits in the face of the TRC calls to action.

RBC is complicit in human rights abuses and genocide at home and around the world. This includes the Coastal GasLink pipeline violating Wet’suwet’en rights, tar sands extraction causing devastating health impacts, and weapons and surveillance technology used in the genocide in Palestine. They profit from land theft and war, ecocide and genocide.

Attire: We request all attendees wear black attire in solidarity with the solemnity of the occasion.

Signs: Expressing our outrage and demanding that RBC Banks divest from the CGL project immediately.

This mock funeral serves as a powerful visual representation of our collective disgust with RBC's unethical investment choices. It's time to hold corporations accountable for their actions and stand up for environmental & Indigenous justice.
